Hi, I'm Robin, and thank you for looking at my website! I am 63 years young, based near Aylsham road in Norwich, and provide one-to-one home/gym based strength, flexibility and fitness personal training, as well as beginner's yoga, for the 50s, 60s, and older, in Norwich, and across the county of Norfolk. 


We all know our bodies significantly change as we get older: muscles atrophy, our joints tend to ache more; we don't recover as quickly as we used to; we are not as flexible as we were; and we can no longer train in the same way as we did in our 20s, 30s and 40s (although sometimes we like to think we can!). But we can stay in shape and stay strong, no matter what our age, it is never too late to start! No matter your gender, age or strength level, whether you have trained before but have had a long break, or have never trained a day in your life; strength, flexibility & fitness training, and easy yoga - either at a gym or at home - are excellent ways to stay fit, healthy, and in shape in your 50s, 60s, 70s and even beyond. And it is excellent for your mental health too!


Strength training

As you get older, losing strength and muscle tone is, unfortunately, a fact of life. However, my personalized strength development programmes are tailored to help slow the physical aging process. You can get stronger, you can build muscle, whatever your gender and age, and the benefits are vast; from improving skeletal support, bone density, posture, balance and stability - which helps reduce breaks and fractures - to enhancing metabolic fitness thus helping you control a healthy weight. Strength training also develops self-esteem and confidence; physically as well as emotionally!


Fitness & Flexibility

Keeping fit and flexible as you get older is vitally important too; according to the NHS website, activity is the single most important contributing factor to longevity. Getting fitter undeniably brings with it a much better quality of life, and becoming more flexible increases your ability to do so many more things. My one-to-one fitness and flexibly programmes are designed for seniors to significantly develop their overall fitness levels, and increase their levels of flexibility.


Yoga for Seniors

The benefits of yoga are huge; from improving flexibility, strength, and balance, to enhancing posture and better body alignment - vital as you get older. Yoga can also significantly help reduce stress and anxiety by calming the mind and encouraging a deeper connection to your body and mind. My one-to-one beginners yoga programmes are aimed specifically for seniors by taking fully into account individual abilities and physiology.

Walking & Nature

Not ready to train at home, or go to the gym? I also offer accompanied brisk walking programmes at a park or other suitable location, building up length and speed as your fitness develops. Ideal if you have not done any exercise for a while, or recovering from illness or injury. The benefits of brisk walking and getting out into fresh air and nature (whatever the weather) are huge too.

Ready to get started?


Contact me to arrange your first free consultation and we'll meet up and go through a brief health check, and discuss your goals and aspirations. I then charge just £30.00 per session (normally between 45 - 60mins) either gym or home-based, within the Norwich outer ring-road, with an additional £5.00 for petrol anywhere else in Norfolk. (*Plus gym-joining fees if applicable - see above). A programme will then be designed for you (which you can follow on your own), and which will be updated regularly as you get fitter, stronger and more flexible. Beginner's one-to-one yoga classes follow a set pattern of development.


Multiple Sessions


If you would like to commit to more frequent, multiple personal training sessions, I can offer 2 x sessions per week at £200.00 a month, or 4 x sessions per week at £400.00 a month. Excellent to significantly develop your fitness, strength and flexibility over a much shorter period of time.

I am a former Security Protection Officer and trainer of bodyguards worldwide. I have also published a number of books, and voluntarily run Poetry for Mental Health, supporting people through words and poetry. I have been training since my early 20s.
